You may remember me from bands I was once in, or places we worked together. You probably haven’t seen me for a while. I sometimes look like I do in this picture but the truth is, you probably don’t want to look at me!

This is my personal blog.
I live in Southend-on-Sea. I’m quite a private man generally, and am not usually into such self-regarding nonsense as vanity publishing – but I do seem to have have a lot of interests, among them cooking, music, retro TV and photography, and that’s why this website is here really – to collect my thoughts and meanderings.
Most of the blog relates either to food I once cooked, which I always intended to publish in a compendium called “Snorty But Nice – 1000 ways with pork (and other recipes)” or to music that I like, or music that I made during my years as a gigging musician.
In the mid-2000s I spent most of my commuting time writing reviews of some of my favourite albums, which I published on Blogger and which sometimes surfaces, uncredited, on other websites. This was intended for a series called “1000 Great Albums”, which, again, will never get completed.
I enjoy setting huge tasks like this for myself but over the years I became a freelancer, and work took over. I’ve collected all these writings and media here to being it all under one roof, and intend to publish more of my work and writings on this site. There’s a book in the pipeline which you may find interesting. It covers a stressful period in my life which has left me with health problems even now. I don’t like talking about it, but the book is written and I’ll be putting some excerpts on here. If I have disappeared from your life lately, it may help explain why. But I’m OK, I survived and that’s the main thing.
